I’ve known George for over 30 years, dating back to his time on local Orlando radio and my beginnings covering NASCAR. Especially during our time together at ESPN, I’ve always found him to have a firm grasp on the ‘big’ picture while having the same understanding of the individual perspective of the person, issue, or group he was addressing.
